Lavandula x intermedia 'Provence'

Hailed as one of the best lavenders for fragrance and foliage color, this French lavender is a combination of the English (Lavandula angustifolia) and Portugese (Lavandula latifolia) varieties. An excellent choice for areas with hot humid summers, the large flower heads can reach up to 3" long and are commonly referred to as 'Fat Lavender'. Abundant displays of purple flowers can be expected from mid to late summer.

Plant in full sun with dry, well-drained soil. Make sure to leave some room between plantings of 'Provence' as air circulation and excellent drainage are a must for plant performance. Rabbit, deer and dry soil tolerant. Lavender is an excellent attractor of bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

An excellent choice for herb gardens, perennial borders and rock gardens. Lovely when planted as a specimen or when grouped in mass plantings. Companions to plant with Lavender 'Provence' include Roses, Aretemisia and Echinacea.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
