Hibiscus syriacus Commonly called Rose of Sharon.

Rose of Sharon are a large family of flowering deciduous shrubs that have become extremely popular in landscape design.  They usually grow to be about 10-12' tall and about 8 feet wide. They feature large, tropical-looking hibiscus flowers all over that bloom during the latter half of summer months. Flowers can sometimes reach up to 12" across, and range in color from pinks & reds to purple, white and lavender.

Not to be confused with hardy hibiscus, Rose of Sharon grow in tree/shrub form, and do require some pruning and maintenance to maintain the desired tree-like shape. They are vigorous growers and will reach mature size rather quickly.

Plant Rose of Sharon in full sun in well drained soil. They will tolerate most types of soil. Space about 8 feet away from other plants to allow for proper growth.

Large, single lavender flowers are adorned with a lacy center to create an anemone-like bloom. Beautiful for use in a mixed container, or incorporated into a mixed border.  A mass planting will create an easy-to-grow privacy screen with lots of summer color. Like all of the Chiffon® series, it has soft, graceful stems and a useful rounded habit.

Arrives to you in a 3 gallon pot. PROVEN WINNERS® Brand.

Many superlative qualities set the Chiffon® series of rose of Sharon apart from the rest: graceful, rounded habit. More flowers, for a longer time, and with better coverage of the plant. Powderpuff flowers that face outward like beaming, smiling faces. And now, richly colored Magenta Chiffon joins Lavender, Blue, White, and Pink for a full complement of effortless summer beauty. Whether you plant one striking specimen of your favorite variety or mix and match for a colorful collection, you will see that Chiffon roses of Sharon are anything but conventional.
