Heuchera 'Obsidian'

Ready for some drama in your garden? This Heuchera, which is commonly called Coralbells, features stunningly black, shiny, rounded leaves hold their color all season and don't fade. Dark purple bell-shaped flowers arise from deep purple stems throughout the growing season.

This is a shade-tolerant Heuchera that may be grown in rock gardens, borders, open woodland gardens, rocky slopes, or native plant areas. It is best planted in groups or masses. It's a beautiful, showy perennial that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.

Heuchera is best grown in medium moisture, well-drained soils in sun to part shade. Performs well in full sun, but prefers some shade (particularly in the heat of the afternoon). Please note, the best leaf color is developed when grown in a location with afternoon shade. Remove stems of faded flowers to encourage additional bloom.  Expect repeat blooms until frost.

Consider pairing with Carex, Iris, Phlox, Hellebores, Hosta, and other varieties of Heuchera.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
