Geum coccineum 'Koi'

Commonly called avens, this perennial grows in clumps and features beautiful single to semi-double, red-orange cup-shaped flowers with center clumps of yellow stamens. Primary bloom occurs from May to July. With prompt deadheading, sporadic rebloom may occur throughout the summer. Flowers are followed by fluffy seed heads.

Koi Avens will grow to be only 6 inches tall at maturity extending to 10 inches tall with the flowers, with a spread of 12 inches. When grown in masses or used as a bedding plant, individual plants should be spaced approximately 10 inches apart. Its foliage tends to remain low and dense right to the ground. Grows best in well-drained soils and works well along border fronts. Expect an abundance of blooms from late spring and into summer. Make excellent cut flowers to add to fresh bouquets.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized container.
