Geranium maculatum 'Espresso'

'Espresso' is a native hardy geranium noted for its chocolate colored leaves and bushy, clump-forming habit. The leaves will hold their chocolatey color all season long.  It has showy pale purplish-pink flowers with white centers. Expect blooms from late spring to early summer.

Plant in full sun to part shade with well-drained soils. Deer and rabbit resistant and drought tolerant once established. Butterflies love this plant!

Perfect for the front of perennial borders, in mixed flower containers or as a groundcover when mass planted. An excellent choice for cottage, meadow, rock and woodland gardens.
