Gazania linearis

Commonly known as 'treasure flower' this compact cold-hardy herbaceous perennial is native to grassy slopes and rocky cliffs of South Africa. It is a stemless flowering plant that produces a ground-hugging mound of 3-4” tall shiny, dark-green leaves, bearing golden-yellow daisies all season long. Colorado Gold's solitary, golden yellow, daisy-like flowers (approximately 3” diameter) bloom in spring and summer on scapes rising slightly above the foliage to 5-6” tall.

Flowers open with morning sun but close at night or on cloudy days. The perfect plant for rock gardens, the front of beds or borders, in planters, massing or drifts, or in shortgrass meadows. Reseeds readily. Deadhead to prevent reseeding, if desired.

Expect an abundance of blooms in late spring and early summer all the way through to fall. Very low maintenance plant which has the potential to be invasive if allowed to spread into the lawn.

Arrives to you in a quart container.
