Fritillaria imperialis ruba

Commonly called Crown Imperial these burnt orange/red Fritillaria will be the talk of your neighborhood. Featuring large 3-4" exotic, bell-shaped blooms that dangle under a crown of glossy green foliage. Their sturdy, pole like stems, supports these fiery blooms, projecting them 1-3 feet tall. Lace-shaped foliage adorns the lower portion of the flowering stem.

Imperialis Ruba blooms April- May, and is squirrel/deer resistant. Loves sun or part shade. Let foliage die down naturally. Leaves provide nourishment for the bulbs to produce future growth and blooming.
