Native to Japan, this interesting tender perennial features large, round glossy leaves that appear in spring and rise to 12" tall. Flower stalks with bright yellow flowers appear in summer.  In zones 7 and below, foliage dies back to the ground in the winter and reappears in spring. In warmer zones, you will enjoy evergreen foliage year round.

Thrives in full shade but can tolerate some dappled sun, especially in the morning.
