Dicentra spectabilis

This classic charmer, commonly known as Bleeding Heart, is one of the oldest but still well loved perennials in cultivation. This bleeding heart features gracefully arching stems studded with lockets of pink flowers with protruding white petals, which gives the look of a bleeding heart. Expect blooms over late spring to early summer.

Recipient of the Award of Garden Merit, this perennial thrives in part shade with moist, well-drained soil. Tolerant of full shade, but less flowers will result. Deer and rabbit resistant.

A great option to plant in borders or woodland garden settings. A fun cut flower, the stems will last approximately 2 weeks in a vase. Companion plants include Hosta, Astilbe, Pulmonaria or Ferns.

**All parts of plant can cause severe discomfort if eaten. Take care when planting in flower beds if you have pets or small children.**

Arrives to you in a gallon-sized container.
