Corydalis curviflora var. rosthornii 'Blue Heron'

Commonly called Fumewort, this showy, erect perennial offers a mound of lacy blue-green foliage. Known for its gentian-blue, dangling sprays of flowers that sit atop the foliage on red stems. You can expect blooms mid to late spring and possibly through summer in cooler areas. It tends to go dormant in hot summer areas.

Best when planted in part to full shade with well-drained, average moisture soils. Rabbit resistant and relatively disease free, Corydalis does not like the drought of summer. 

A great addition to perennial beds, cottage gardens, rock and woodland areas. Can also be used as an under planting for roses and shrubs. Plays well in the garden with Dicentra, Hellebores and Camassia.
