Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Duke Gardens'

Commonly called Plum Yew, this soft needled evergreen is extremely versatile.Left to grow naturally they form a rounded mound that work well mass planted as low borders. However, their slow growth allows gardeners to prune and shape them or even train them to grow more upright and tree-like.

These shade lovers need a break from the midday sun to thrive. New growth appears as a yellowish green that matures into the familiar dark green over the summer and remains year-round. While we list the water requirements as average, it is best to keep them watered regularly for the first year or two. Once they are established, they tolerate more drought.

The Plum Yew gets its name from the miniature plum-like fruit that grows on pollinated female flowers that the birds simply love!

Arrives to you in a 3 gallon-sized pot, as shown in photo 3.
