Carex amphibola

Commonly known as Eastern Narrowleaf Sedge, this native grass has narrow green blades that grow in a fountain-shaped mound and are perfect for the shaded areas of your garden. Green seed clusters appear in late spring above the grassy leaves.

Plant in full shade to part shade as this grass will do well in shady woodland areas. Deer resistant and attractive to butterflies, this sedge is perfect for helping with erosion control and is cold hardy to zone 2.

Wonderful when mass planted along paths or as a groundcover. Also a great option at the front of borders, in rock gardens and in containers. Use in native woodland gardens, rain gardens, meadows and along banks. Combinations of Thimble weed, Phlox divericata, Heuchera and Eupatorium all make excellent companion plantings.

Native to North America.

Arrives to you in a gallon-sized pot.
