Buddleia x davidii

Commonly called 'Butterfly Bush,' Buddleia are a large group of deciduous flowering shrubs that are commonly known to bring butterflies to your garden. The create large, colorful flower plumes that appear in summer and fall. The flowers have a sweet honey-like scent and are rich in nectar. This makes them highly attractive to butterflies, moths, bees and hummingbirds.

Buddleias should be planted in full sun, receiving at least 8 hours per day. They prefer well drained/dry soil and cannot tolerate too much moisture.

'Black knight' features long, fragrant, dark purple flowers that are almost black. Mature size is 6-8 feet tall and 4-6 feet wide.
