Rubus odoratus

A deciduous shrub, purple Raspberry has small flowers with widely spreading petals, stems are covered in a waxy bloom and smooth except for scattered broad-based prickles, leaves are nearly all compound in 3-5s and silvery on the underside. Flat-topped clusters of petaled flowers are followed by round, raspberry-like, red berries which mature to purple. A wonderful pollinator and food source to humans and small mammals.  Berries are typically purple and dry, but can be used in jams and jellies.

This Rubus can reach heights of 6-10 ft tall. Blue-green summer foliage is compound, becoming yellowish in fall. Arrives to you in a one-gallon pot.
