An heirloom beet variety from Denmark. Cylindra is often noted as best for canning and slicing due to its long, symmetrical root that is shaped more like a carrot than a beet. Due to this shape, slices are very uniform so it's often also used in salads and other dishes where the slices can be displayed.

The ornamental foliage of this beet makes it attractive to add into beds, border and cottage gardens as well. 

Plant in full sun, space plants 6-8" apart in even rows.
