A historic and rare apple tree variety.

'Newtown Pippin' is a high-quality baking and dessert apple. This particular cultivar is old- it was planted by Thomas Jefferson at Monitcello in the late 1700s. It's a cold hardy variety that ripens in late October- making it perfect for holiday dishes and desserts.

This variety will require another variety of apple tree planted within 15 feet to pollinate.

Tree will enjoy a full-sun environment in rich, moist, well drained soil. It's important to space this variety at least 10 feet from other fruit trees. This variety will fruit within 1-2 years. Spring planting is recommended for this variety in the mid-atlantic region. Water well after planting.  Some pruning may be required 1-2 years after planting.

Arrives to you in a 7 gallon pot.
