Amaryllis belladonna

Commonly known as Naked Ladies or Jersey Lily, this bulbous perennial gets its common name because the blooms appear before the foliage. Large clusters of pink trumpet-shaped, 4" flowers appear in summer. The fragrant blooms will have anywhere from 4-12 flowers per purplish-red to green stalk. Expect flowers from late summer to fall. 

Naked Ladies prefer full sun and well-drained soil. Adaptable to most soil types as long as it drains well. Protection from wind and harsh frosts is advised. Not bothered by deer or other wildlife as all parts of this plant are toxic to animals. A wonderful addition to containers, beds, borders and cottage gardens.
