Viburnum dentatum 'Blue Muffin'

Blue Muffin is a wonderful choice for residential planting thanks to its compact growth habit and ease of care. This deciduous shrub tops out at around 5 feet tall and wide which makes it a great choice for mass planting as a low hedge or as a feature in a small pollinator garden.

While it prefers well-draining loamy soil with high organic content, Blue Muffin is fairly adaptable and will even tolerate clay based soil. The vibrant green foliage features delicate, flat-topped blooms in the spring that give way to dark purple berries that birds love but humans should avoid. In fall, its color ranges from pale yellow to vibrant red-orange.

Because viburnums are not self-pollinating, it is recommended that you plant a second variety nearby like the common Arrowood Viburnum to enhance fruit production.

Native to North America.

Arrives to you in a 1 gallon-sized pot. PROVEN WINNERS® Brand.
