Sambucus canadensis

This deciduous elderberry shrub features white flowers that bloom in June and then give way to small deep-purple berries in late summer and fall. The berries are perfect for making jams and juices and are often considered a superfood. Their feather-like compact leaves cover the shrub to provide wonderful coverage and nesting sites for songbirds.

This shrub is self-pollinating but does well when planted with another bush close by. While it prefers moist areas, it is quite tolerant of a wide range of soils in full to partial sun. Native to the northeast US.

Arrives to you in a 2 gallon pot.
