Salvia nemorosa 'Marcus'

This attractive, long-blooming, perennial is a must for those wanting a reliable grower for their sunny bed, container, butterfly garden, or planter. Throughout summer, deep purple flowers rise from upright spikes. 'Marcus' is a butterfly, bee, and hummingbird magnet! It's also great for cut flowers. 'Marcus' is the short version of 'May Night'

Salvias are especially valuable during the hot summers for they ignore the heat and go steadily about the business of making flowers. As a result, Salvia performs best in full sun. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep extensive root system. Cut back hard and feed with a general-purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring. Trim off dead flowers to encourage reblooming.

Salvia 'Marcus' pairs well with Echinacea, Coreopsis, Phlox, Agastache, and Rudbeckia.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized container.
