Dianthus gratianopolitanus 'Firewitch'

This variety of Dianthus features fragrant, fringy, magenta-pink flowers and silver-blue foliage with lengthy blooming periods. Blooms are often two inches in diameter on top of sturdy stems. They are ideal for containers, garden borders, and modern landscapes. A cottage garden is not complete without several Dianthus. Dianthus makes a great cut flower, too- they have a wonderful spicy-clove aroma!

Plant in full sun with well-drained garden soil. These beauties are heat tolerant, deer resistant, and attractive to pollinators! Remove spent flowers to encourage more buds to form. Pruning plants back hard after blooming will encourage them to survive for years. Self-sown seedlings may be moved in fall or early spring.

Plant in the garden with Geraniums, Petunias, Pansies, Echinacea, Penstemon, Rudbeckia, Agastache, Iris, and Salvia as companions.

Arrives to you in a quart-sized pot.
